Frilford Heath
Abingdon, Oxfordshire

Frilford Heath Golf Club is located to the South of Oxford on 500 acres of glorious undulating Heathland and is one of the best venues in the south of England; rarely can a golf club offer three championship golf courses (Red, Green and Blue) that allow the opportunity to revel in their classical or modern challenge!

Our course for the day, the Blue Course at Frilford Heath, was designed by Simon Gidman and opened in 1994 with a par 72 scorecard measuring over 6700 yards from the Black Tees. Once you have survived the card threatening water on the early holes, you meander through a number of par four dog legs and four par fives that face in all compass directions, seemingly getting the best of the prevailing westerly.  The subtle greens are more undulating than on the two older courses, and offer a number of interesting and challenging flag positions as tested by the PGA Europro Tour who host a televised event each June and for five days every spring the Blue and the Red Course becomes the home of the PGA Europro Tour Qualifying School.
